Marylin Lozada like, so many Philadelphians in the 1990s, was laid off multiple times from various jobs in the banking industry. So the married mother of one secured her mortgage broker license and started her own business in 2001 with money from a family member. Now Lozada’s Capital Financial Mortgage has three employees who serve a mostly Latino clientele.
